Joan Coffey

How can something so small make such a big noise? Come to one of the live gigs and find out.

Spikey alternative folk and sweet soothing tunes with plenty of good humour, and occasionally,
Irish dancing in a Michael Flatley stylee. Not.

This makes me remember something funny that my cousin would always say... Of course its definitely not appropriate at this time...
Marilyn Taylor - Nov 09
Hello to all :) I can’t understand how to add your site in my rss reader. Help me, please
Music_Mp3_cenueclen - Feb 09
Your music is brilliant! (I'm actually from Croydon).
Geoff - May 07
Very well your job. congratulations. I am a guitarist Brasilian. thanks
Marcio Vargas - Jan 06
More than just a great singer -Joan is perhaps the most entertaining artist on the live circuit. Thanks for sharing your talent with us! ZS
Zein Simone - Aug 05
joan's lovely and feisty. are you really that small? i couldn't tell. your presence isn't.
desdemona finch - Nov 04
If you love good music from the soul and heart, music that can make u cry then have you jump up stamping your feet on the table in a total frenzy next track, then auntie Joan is the one for you. Catch her live if you can and most definatly get here album.
Kinky afro - Jun 04
The new album "Everybody Needs One" is now available through the Joan Coffey website. Follow the link up above.
JC - May 04
Beautiful...inspiring, heartfelt, chill-inducing...shall I go on? Joan, you are just what this soul needed. Your music, your vocals...straight to my heart with a silver bullet. Listening to you from California, but thinking of my cyber friends in Ireland. "Gotta be Irish"...no, it's    Gotta be Joan.    PS. Any plans on coming to Los Angeles??    Lots of Love & Laughter from Hollywood, Joan.    Come and get it.
Oralfxatn - Oct 03

joolz - Jul 02
Well Debbie, some vocalists are SO good they can smoke 60 a day - Nat King Cole, for example. Question is, are you that good? I know I'm not. ;>)
joan - Jul 02
Some good advice but surely theres SOMETHING people who love smoking and singing can do to have both things in their lives!
debbie owusu - Jul 02
Joan Coffey is a joy. If you hav'nt seen her yet you must soon, before she gets to famous and you can't afford the tickets! Shout out for "Summer Season", "Token" and "Your Full Of Shit (the nicey song)". But don't what ever you do plug in a fan heater while she's recording. Top darts indeed!
Phil Taylor - Jul 02
Joan is a fantastic performer and singer. It was a pleasure to have her band at the Kings Head.
Jake - Dec 01
This is music I'd love to hear - MP3 is impossible with one broken speaker.  I can tell this is a person whose feeling for things comes across in her songs. A singer needs to reach out to her audience and communicate with them and I somehow know that this is what Joan does.
Lynette - Jul 01
1) I think it's weird that you have a website with no e-mail address to contact you on (not weird-unhealthy, just suprising)  2) I think you've got a great, clean voice; I especially like it when it modulates from soft to edge  3) did you like my CD? listen to it? use it as a bargain bathroom mirror?
Chris Freudenberg - Jul 01
As live musical acts go, yes please. The right combination of the heartfelt and the well thought out. Surging vocals; songs reminiscent of a lot of Irish folk narrative, but only to a certain point; after that, the force of her character and observational skills are in their element. A sort of win-win-win act; good to see live and already excellent; barring a sudden spiritual ' Aufbruch ' in reverse to become a librarian in Penge, will go up the musical graph from strength to strength. Deservedly so because she gives advice on how others can improve their act and it is neither smarmy nor ignorable.
Aidan McGee - Jan 01
